The Agriculture Department promotes food security through extension and cooperative support, delivers social protection, and empowers communities through skills acquisition and livelihood programmes across Lagos Island.

To promote food security through agricultural extension and cooperative support; deliver social protection services to widows, orphans, the elderly, and persons with disabilities; empower youths and women through skills acquisition and livelihood programmes; and foster inclusive community development.
