Hon. Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan is the Executive Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government — the chief
executive officer responsible for the overall governance, policy direction, and development agenda
of one of the most historically significant and commercially vibrant local government areas in Nigeria.
As Executive Chairman, Hon. Oyekan leads a team of principal officers, department heads, and elected
councillors in delivering responsive, transparent, and people-centred governance to the residents
of Lagos Island. His administration is focused on practical solutions that address the everyday
needs of residents while building the foundation for long-term sustainable development.
